What is habitat management?
It is often necessary to manage habitats in such a way as to improve their quality or to manage for particular species thus enhancing the sites ecology. Management can involve many different practices depending on the required outcome, this can be as simple as grassland cutting to larger scale creation such as wetland establishment.
When do I need to get in touch?
“Two thirds of UK homebuyers would consider paying more for a house with a wildlife-friendly garden” Rightmove 2013.
If you are looking to modify or develop land on your site we strongly recommend you managing it for wildlife / biodiversity. Or perhaps you are required through planning conditions to do so for specific species or types of habitat like Brownfield Land or Hedgerows.
Get in touch when you need to, although we strongly recommend that you do so at the beginning of your development process to ensure that wildlife friendly features are integral to your design rather than potentially costly add-ons.
