Habitat Management for Film & Events

The UK has a variety of  incredible landscapes, from the wild beaches of Northumberland to the rugged mountains of the Scottish Highlands, which are beautiful to visit and also appealing to film crews and event management teams; EcoNorth has had opportunities to work with both in an advisory and practical capacity.

Many of the most visually spectacular areas are also designated sites for habitats and species that may be found within. EcoNorth advises film location managers and crew on their working methods in such sensitive environments, providing the Habitat Regulation Assessment Screening that is often required, and the on set Ecological Clerk of Works that enable filming to proceed without damaging the beauty and features of the site.

When do I need to get in touch?

If you are a film crew / location manager or event co-ordinator looking to carry out work within or adjacent to designated or sensitive habitats, please get in touch. EcoNorth will be able to assist with planning conditions or advice from a local authority or government about working within habitats that may be sensitive.

We recommend that consideration of biodiversity and potential requirements for habitat management are included at the onset of project development. If it is considered from the start, the likelihood of success is much higher.

How can EcoNorth help me?

EcoNorth has a wealth of experience in working in designated and sensitive habitats with film and TV crews as well as event managers. We understand the tight schedules such sectors face and offer pragmatic, workable solutions to ensure projects stay on time and budget.
