We Think We Are Great, But Don't Just Take Our Word For It...

Client satisfaction and providing excellent services are of paramount importance to the whole EcoNorth team, which is why we like to get feedback on the work we do. The following sets out a few of the recent testimonials received:

“Our experience with EcoNorth was outstanding! The team we engaged with was knowledgeable, professional and thorough. They explained everything fully, giving us background information to help us to understand the ‘bigger picture’ and responded unbelievably quickly when we needed guidance urgently. We would wholeheartedly recommend EcoNorth without reservation.” Mairi Gibson, Abbeyfields First School, Morpeth. Feb 2021

“Bellway North East commissioned EcoNorth to work across a number of projects within the last year. Often, aligning the demands of our delivery timescales with the ecology seasons can be challenging! EcoNorth have provided us with timely and relevant advice to ensure that our programmes can be met and that we deliver our obligations in accordance with planning approvals and any Natural England licenses. They are always available to answer queries (of which there have been many)! Their reports and guidance are clear and concise. As well as the planning and theory side of things, EcoNorth have assisted us in delivering mitigation measures on site, such as erecting bird and bat boxes, constructing otter holts, tree inspections etc. The range of services is all encompassing and their reactive and flexible approach certainly makes my job easier!”  Marie Lodge , Technical Project Manager, Bellway Home Limited (North East).  Jan 2020.

“EcoNorth Ltd were commissioned by Volker Stevin to design and install three artificial otter holts alongside the River Lune, Lancaster.  This work was required as mitigation under a Natural England otter mitigation licence relating to flood protection works.  Due to unforeseen issues with tidal flooding in the mitigation area, the original design of the otter holts required modification and EcoNorth Ltd subsequently designed and installed three bespoke otter holts which sat above the tidal flood level.  The bespoke design, to overcome the issue with tidal flooding, was innovative and the quality and craftmanship of the end product was above and beyond all expectations.  EcoNorth Ltd were able to resource this work at short notice and within an extremely short timeframe to meet the conditions of the Natural England otter mitigation licence.  The staff at EcoNorth Ltd have demonstrated innovation, high quality craftmanship, and excellent collaborative behaviour with the Atkins Ecology team who are responsible for ecological input at the site.”  Luke Gorman, Associate Director of Ecology: Infrastructure, Atkins.  Oct 2019.

“EcoNorth provided me a great service for my Shepherds Huts project.  They worked very quick and they guided me through the planning process with regards to ecology.  From there they worked on site with other contractors to ensure species protection and that my planning conditions were met.  I would highly recommend EcoNorth and would definitely use them again!” Tim Hardie, owner of Westfield House Farm Bed and Breakfast.  2017.

“Center Parcs appointed the Wildlife Trust Consultancies six years ago to provide us with additional ecology support.  In that time our Conservation Rangers at Whinfell Forest have developed a good partnership with the team at EcoNorth, who have provided us with a wide range of support.  They have given training to our rangers to help develop their knowledge and experience as well as crucially supporting surveys, annual reports and specialist advice and guidance.  This has helped inform us on management decisions in relation to the forest landscape and habitats.  To us and to guests, the environment remains the most treasured aspect of the Center Parcs experience and this relationship has been key in making sure wildlife at Whinfell Forest, continues to flourish.” Richard Watson, Landscape & Asset Manager, Centre Parcs.  2017.

‘’Due to the nature and sheer number of existing buildings, the ecology planning requirements for the Police Headquarters development have been complex.  It has been reassuring to have EcoNorth providing us with expert advice and support.  EcoNorth has guided us through the requirements of the Natural England licensing process to ensure that we comply with our obligations.  They have co-ordinated an enormous amount of activity on site and all within the timescales we set.  We really value their flexible and sensible approach and wouldn’t hesitate to engage EcoNorth on future projects.’’  Marie Lodge, Technical Project Manager, Bellway Homes Limited (North East).  2017.
