EcoNorth Ltd is based in Northumberland, just north of Newcastle upon Tyne, and services client requirements primarily throughout Northern England and Scotland.  We have space in our Northumberland office when it reopens fully, however, we would also welcome applications from candidates based in Scotland, North West England or Humberside who would consider working remotely for part of the time.

The role is offered on a permanent basis, with full details of the role provided here: Job Description.

EcoNorth will offer you the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting and challenging projects from habitat creation schemes and small developments to some of the largest construction projects in the UK and Ireland, and to contribute in a meaningful way to nature conservation.

EcoNorth has a friendly, sociable team focused on building a diverse and inclusive culture.  We are open to flexible working.  Individuals are empowered to manage their own projects and contribute to the team’s decision making processes during the annual team consultation and regular team meetings.  We offer ongoing opportunities for training and development, internal and external, with each employee provided with an individual training budget in addition to their mandatory health and safety training budget.  All employees are eligible to participate in our profit sharing and pension schemes.

We offer our clients and partners high level professional and ethical standards and accountability, which are supported by our Constructionline Gold level membership and Acclaim certification.  We have also successfully achieved ISO 45001 health and safety certification and are currently working towards attaining ISO 9001 quality certification in March 2022.

EcoNorth is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, political beliefs, dietary choices, membership or non-membership of a trade union or any other characteristic unrelated to the performance of the job.

Initial shortlisting will be undertaken on a ‘blind’ basis.  Interviews will be undertaken via video call using MS Teams.  During the interview process, candidates will be asked structured questions which will be measured against a person specification and given a written assessment.

To apply for this role, please email your CV and a brief cover letter to outlining why you wish to work at EcoNorth and how your knowledge, skills and experience enable you to fulfil the role’s requirements.
